Glenn Bresette: Saying gaween (No) to Metallic Sulfide Mining

Produced by Nick Vander Puy
Reserve, Wisconsin (

Sitting in a lodge at the base of Eagle Rock (Migiziwasin) the wind blowing the blue tarp covering, Glenn Bresette talks about the special place RTZ mining plans to destroy for nickel and copper near Big Bay, Michigan on Ojibwe ceded territory.

Bresette learned to hunt and fish on these lands. This land has fed his family for years. This is where he learned to get along with other people.

It's part of the ancient thunder trail for the Anishinaabe.

He does not want to see it destroyed. He does not want to see it fenced.

"For the company to mine under this is totally against our way."
