New York City’s American Indian Community House is facing some tough challenges.

The Daily News ( ) says the organization may lose a $1 million federal job training grant.

The Community House serves an estimated 80,000 Native Americans living in the metropolitan New York area. It also serves thousands of visitors each year.

AICH also offers education, culture and arts, and health services.

Earlier, the group had to vacate its longtime offices on Broadway because the landlord wanted to raise the rent to $40,000 a month.

Then it had to curtail some of its ceremonial drumming and dancing at its new offices on West 29th Street after other tenants complained about noise.
