Csesko, Evangeline S.: Walks on

Evangeline S. Csesko, 87, of Glidden, Wis. passed away May 11, 2009, at her residence. She was born January 23, 1922, in Odanah, the daughter of Antoine and Sarah (Baker) Thomas.

For 50 years, Evangeline lived in Chicago where she married Henry Csesko. After Henry's death in 1998, Evangeline moved closer to home in Glidden, Wis. She was a member of St.

Mary's Catholic Church in Odanah. Evangeline had many hobbies which included collecting coins, plates and dolls. She was a very loving, caring and giving person. She has touched the hearts of many that had the chance of knowing her. Throughout her 87 years here on earth,

Evangeline was able to teach a little bit of something she had learned throughout her years to all who were a part of her life. With this, she was able to live Mino Bimadaziiwin (a good life). Her laughs and smiles will forever be remembered and she will be greatly missed by all...

Evangeline is survived by three nephews; Michael Darrell of Chicago, Ill., Earl H. (Diane) Thomas of Crandon, Wis., and Don (Wendy) Thomas of Bayfield, Wis.; two nieces, Mary Jane (Richard) Cole of Glidden, Wis., and Diana (Tom) Christian of Butternut, Wis. She is also survived by many other nieces and nephews, including her two beloved birds she enjoyed having with her every day.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Henry Csesko; brother, Earl G. Thomas; sister, Marcella Belecourt; and several other brothers and sisters. Funeral services were held May 16, at the Roberts Funeral Home in Ashland, Wis.

Interment took place in Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery in Hillside, Ill.
