LaFontaine III, John Joseph of Lac Courte Oreilles:Walks on

John J. LaFontaine III, age 32 of Hayward/LCO, passed away April 10, 2009 at Hayward Area Memorial Hospital to live and be with Jesus for eternity.

John Joseph was born July 27, 1976 in Gloversville, NY, the son of John LaFontaine Jr. and Jennifer (Phillips) LaRonge and the husband of Candice Dawn (Clause-Corbine) LaFontaine. John was employed at the Sawyer County Courthouse as a Computer IT Specialist. John loved his job. His love for the Lord Jesus was astounding. Just about every conversation/small talk he had with people would involve God Almighty. John loved the Savior and was always grateful for allowing the Lord to melt his heart.

Jail Ministry was one of many of the things that he admired the most. (Must not forget computers and asking his wife Candice for a kiss plenty times a day and saying “I love you” many times a day.)  The transformation the Holy Spirit did in his heart and mind spoke volumes. He had a great ability to teach, which was a gift from God. God gave many gifts to John. His courage and will in this life was immensely great. For sure he’s having a blast in his mansion. There’s no doubt he’s looking forward to seeing his family and friends on earth to meet Jesus and him to live eternally in paradise. He was very fond of Drew LaRonge, Wilbur “John” Corbine, William “Bill” Swehla, Mike Coleson and Kenny Quagon. John was involved with LCO Soaring Eagles Christian Fellowship.

He is survived by his parents John (Tina) LaFontaine Jr., Jennifer (Drew) LaRonge; wife Candice; daughter Elaina Rose Clause-Corbine; twins to be, with temporary names until born in this world, Adorable and Beautiful; brothers Jacob Hammond, Tommy LaFontaine; sister Heather LaFontaine; step-sisters Anona (Rich Hollen) LaRonge, Danielle (Dale) Scott; in-laws Wilbur “John”  Corbine and Connie Corbine; many nephews, nieces and cousins; Spiritual parents & friends Pastor Andreas and Karin Schroeter and Patricia Maina; good friend and brother in the Lord, Pastor Heath Davis

The Funeral Service was held April 15 at Hayward Wesleyan Church in Hayward. Pastor Andreas Schroeter officiated with music provided by LCO Soaring Eagles Christian Fellowship and Hayward Wesleyan Church Worship Team.. Burial was in New Post Cemetery.
