Corbine: Wilfred “Paush”

Wilfred J. “Paush” Corbine, age 73, of Hayward, passed away February 19, 2009 at Hayward Area Memorial Hospital.

Wilfred John “Paush” was born November 4, 1935 in Hayward, the son of William and Blanche (Stone) Corbine. He grew up and attended Haskell Indian School in Kansas. Paush was a veteran having served in the US Navy. He lived many years in Chicago, Il before returning to the Hayward area where he worked in logging. Paush especially enjoyed hunting, fishing, and had a love for animals.

He is survived by his sister Elaine Howard; many nephews and nieces.

Paush was preceded in death by his parents, brother Leonard Corbine, Sister Shirley Thayer, loving companion Phyllis Butler, niece Kimberly (Thayer) Corbine, nephews Bill and David Thayer.

The Funeral Service was held February 23 at Pineview Funeral Service in Hayward.  Dave Innerbner and Rev. Marvin Wilber officiating with music provided by Marvin and Debbie Wilber.  Burial was in Whitefish Cemetery in Sand Lake Township with Military Honors provided by the LCO AMVETS Post 1998.

Honorary casket bearers were Dave Bell, Steve Benjamin, Daniel “Boone” Grover, Jason Howard Jr., Ken Taylor, Peter Thayer, Russell Thayer, Brad Trepania and Robbie Trepania.

Casket bearers were Joe Howard, Peter Taylor, Brian Thayer, Gerald “Wink” Thayer, Jason “Buck” Thayer and Robert Thayer.
