Pringle Margaret “Peggy” J. of Springbrook, passed away

Margaret “Peggy” J. Pringle, age 63 of Springbrook, passed away Friday, January 16, 2009 at home surrounded by her loving family.

Margaret Joyce was born February 12, 1945 in Hayward, the daughter of Warren and Loretta (Trepanier) Martinson. Peggy was a beautiful loving wife and mother that adored her family. She was as compassionate as she was strong; giving to others words of wisdom and relief at time of need. Many friends outside the family called her mom. Peggy was a true and dedicated friend. Peggy and Errol both natives of Hayward met when they were kids, later dating in their teens. Peggy and Errol’s love was so strong that at age 18, Peggy and Errol, 21 eloped to Pine City, MN where they were married. This union has lasted a wonderful long 45 years resulting in four very loving children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Peggy, a tribal member of Lac Courte Oreilles worked in various positions for her tribe, mainly as a bookkeeper/accountant for nearly 34 years; beginning with a position at the Tribal Office when it was just a trailer in Reserve, WI. Peggy recalls a time when there was no funds and her and a small bunch of other women donated their time to help keep the tribe running.

Peggy had many interest and hobbies that included fishing, camping, country rides, family gatherings, photo editing, watching cooking shows and playing the slots just to name a few. She was also a family historian.

She is affectionately survived by her husband Errol of Springbrook; children Laura (Greg) Zimit, Marsha Pringle both of Hayward, Eric (Karen) Pringle of Diberville, MS, Jason (Tracey) Pringle of Hayward; 18 grandchildren that knew her as “Nana” Joel & Shaun Valentin, Felicia & Reanna Taylor, Tyler Ford, Alyssa, Emily, Skylar & Payton Zimit, Stuart, Shondel, Derek, Joshua, Chelsea & Savannah Pringle, Stasha Quagon, Shania & Jason Pringle Jr.; two great grandchildren Amerie & Nyah DeNasha; brothers Leroy & Neil both of Hayward, Gerald, Michael, Richard all of Kenosah; sisters Donna (Ed) Carley of Hayward, Judy (Rick) Lecy of Kenosha, Betty Ann (Rich) Macek of Crandon, Sarah Martinson of Aberfeen, SD; many nephews, nieces & cousins.

Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Warren, Walter, Gary David Martinson, sister Patsy Renschin and grand daughter-in-law Ashley Quagon.

A Memorial Service was held on January 22, at Pineview Funeral Service in Hayward. Rev. Gary Hilgendorf will officiate.
