LaRonge, Pierre E. of Stone Lake, passed away

Pierre E. LaRonge, age 62 of Stone Lake, passed away January 24, 2009 at Abbott Northwest Hospital in Minneapolis, MN with loved ones by his side, ending his six year battle with cancer.

Pierre was born October 25, 1946 in Hayward, WI, the son of Enola “Kitty” Rose (LaRonge) Bentley. He grew up with his grandparents in the town of Round Lake, attending school in Hayward until moving to the Chicago area. He also lived in Seattle, WA and Green Bay. In 1974 he moved to the Minneapolis area where he became employed by Swanson and Youngdale Painting. He enjoyed working there for 25 years. During the last 12 years of Pierre’s career he was very proud to be assigned the position of Field Superintendent at the 3M Center. He was responsible for overseeing the commercial painting sector for over 300 buildings.

He is survived by his loving wife Judy of Stone Lake, son Keith Douglas of Bloomington, MN; daughter Renee’ of Sapulpa, OK; two granddaughters Cassaundra of Coon Rapids, MN and Maggie of Sapulpa, OK; brother Michael (Verna) of Hayward, stepfather Richard Bentley of Pensacola, FL.

Pierre was preceded in death by his mother Kitty Bentley and grandparents Julia & Ed Careful.

The Funeral Service was held January 29 at Pineview Funeral Service in Hayward. Rev. John Quaderer officiated. Burial was in St. Francis Cemetery.

Casket bearers were Bob Anderson, Clarence Esperson, Mike Kasel, David Keller, Fred Martin & Pat Trepanier.
