Roy W. Gordon, age 61 of Hayward, passed away May 27, 2008, at the Memorial Medical Center in Ashland.

Roy William was born March 17, 1947, in Hayward, the son of Raymond and Dorothy (Schmock) Gordon. He grew up and attended school in Hayward. Roy moved to Minneapolis where he lived for over 20 years and worked as a sheet rocker. He also lived for a short time in Janesville and California before moving back home in 1985. Roy was deeply loved by his family. Those who knew him knew he had a kind heart. He will be sadly missed by all.

He is survived by his daughters Karla Bellanger of Ogema, MN, Pamela Ellis of Ogema, MN, Jodee LaFave of Stone Lake; son Troy Velde of Minneapolis, MN; 10 grandchildren, three great- grandchildren; brother Calvin (Linda) Gordon of Hayward; his sister Fern Corbine of Hayward; nephews Scott & Raymond Gordon; nieces Susan (Stacy) Aaker and Lydia Corbine; and great nephew Cole Aaker; many cousins and good buddy Ken Gallaway.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Robert and Gerald.

Funeral services were held May 30 at Pineview Funeral Service in Hayward. Rev. John Quaderer officiated. Music provided by Scott Gordon. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery in Hayward.

Honorary casket bearers were Craig Bellanger, Dylan LaFave and Troy Velde.

Casket bearers were Ken Gallaway, Raymond Gordon, Scott Gordon, Raymond Martin, Robert Schmock and Shane Schmock.
