Grover, Lawrence E. Whitefish LCO passes on

Lawrence Grover, age 88 of Whitefish Community, passed away peacefully on March 18, 2008, at his home.

Lawrence was born September 17, 1919, in Whitefish, WI, the son of John and Elizabeth Grover. He grew up in Whitefish and attended Whitefish Elementary School. Lawrence was a loving father, grandpa, brother, uncle and was a proud veteran of World War II.

He is survived by his son Joseph (Denise) Grover; daughters Diane (Jim) McKnight, Linda (Dick) Kluver; grandchildren Casey McKnight, Elijah Grover, Catherine Grover and one grandchild on the way; sister Bernice Webster; many nephews, nieces and friends.

Lawrence was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Ingrid Grover, brothers Max and Arthur Grover, sisters Evelyn Thompson, Dorothy Dern, Lucille Thompson, Jessica Reed, Ida Grover, Agnes Grover and Eletha Grover.

The Funeral Service was held March 24 at Pineview Funeral Service in Hayward. Rev. Larry Bisonette officiated with music provided by Gordon & Sheila Thayer, and Rev. Marvin & Deborah Wilber. Burial will be in Whitefish Cemetery in Sand Lake in the spring.

Casket bearers were Bill Jacobs, Robert Jacobs, William Jacobs Jr., Jack Skye, Jim White and Matt White
