Traditional funeral services were held for RAYMOND KIER, 44, on May 10, at the Sports Complex in Naytahwaush, Minnesota. Interment followed at St. Anne’s Catholic Cemetery in Naytahwaush. Raymond was born March 28, 1967, in Mahnomen. He passed away May 6, 2011, at his home.
Raymond entered the U.S. Army Reserves in 1985. Following his honorable discharge, he returned to the Naytahwaush community and began working in construction. Raymond was employed for many years at Wazek Construction of Fargo. (Anishinaabeg Today, June 1, 2011)
