WASHINGTON, Toppenish – Funeral services were held for PATRICIA A. THOMPSON, 40, on March 3, 2010, at the Toppenish Longhouse. Interment followed in the Reservation Community Memorial Park. Patricia was born June 30, 1969, in Portland, Oregon. She passed away March 1, 2010, in Toppenish.

    Patricia was raised and educated in Granger, Washington, graduating in 1987. She earned her AA degree from Yakima Valley Community College; a Bachelors Degree from Washington State University; and her Masters in Social Work from Eastern Washington University. Pat worked for the Yakama Nation as a social worker, a counselor for Yakama Higher Education, and most recently for Department of Social and Health Services Child Protection Services Division as a case worker. She was an avid Seattle Mariners fan. She collected Barbie dolls and enjoyed Marilyn Monroe. She was a jingle dress dancer as a young lady. Pat was very proud of her ancestral heritage, being the great-granddaughter of chiefs, Tommy Thompson and Morris Antelope of the Coeur d’Alene Tribe; granddaughter of Chief Henry Thompson; and was especially proud to be the daughter of hereditary Chief Moses Thompson.
