OREGON, Pendleton A Mass of Christian Burial was held for ARTHUR LOUIS WEBB HEAY, 69, on March 27, 2010, at St. Andrews Mission. Interment followed at St. Andrews Cemetery. Arthur was born December 22, 1940, in Thorn Hollow, Oregon. He passed away March 23, 2010, at his home.
Arthur attended school at St. Andrews and Thorn Hollow. Mr. Heay enlisted in the Army in 1958 and was later honorably discharged. Afterwards he spent much of his time traveling around the country, spending time in many states from the East to the West coasts. He also spent time following the All Indian Rodeo Circuit, participating in saddle bronc and bull riding events with companions from Omak and Spokane. He eventually moved back home to Thorn Hollow, where he lived out his years spending time with his family. He enjoyed watching sporting events such as football and basketball, but his favorite was boxing. He enjoyed anything that had to do with the sport. (Confederated Umatilla Journal, April 2010)
