Jourdain, Michael Paul Accomplished Musician

MINNESOTA, Bemidji – A Mass of Christian Burial was held for MICHAEL PAUL JOURDAIN, 40, on March 17, 2010, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Red Lake, Minnesota. Interment followed at St. John’s Episcopal Cemetery. Michael was born October 1, 1969, in Red Lake. He passed away March 12, 2010, in Bemidji.

     Michael attended St. Mary’s Mission School in Red Lake, Bemidji Middle School, Bemidji High School, and the Music Tech School in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He worked for Seven Clans Casino in Thief River Falls, Minnesota, and had also did carpentry work. He was an accomplished musician and played lead guitar with many local bands. He played and enjoyed all styles of music. He could play many difference instruments and was a composer and songwriter. He was an avid reader, an artist and an avid sports fan. He loved attending powwows and spending time with his family and friends. His traditional native culture was dear to his heart and as a young boy he loved dancing at powwows.
